Retiola

I kept running into the same problem online:

I'd read an article or find an interesting website and either the comments were disabled, there was no comment section at all, or the actual discussion was scattered across Reddit, X, Discord and somewhere else.

So I built Retiola.

It's a browser extension that gives every URL its own discussion sidebar.

Open a news article, YouTube video, research paper, product page or some forgotten website from 2007 — Retiola gives it the same discussion layer.

The idea is basically:

What if the web itself had one shared comment section?

You can:

• start threaded discussions on any URL
• vote, react and create polls
• highlight a sentence and comment on that exact passage
• keep private notes and highlights
• see other Retiola users currently on the same page
• turn multiple pages into a shareable "trail"
• share a page's discussion with people who don't have the extension installed

It's live now on Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Opera is still in review.
