BuiltByVibe is built on the philosophy of privacy-first simplicity. We require zero user sign-ups or passwords to browse, discover, upvote, or bookmark apps. Here is a clear breakdown of how information is processed across our platform.
Zero-Account Architecture & Bookmarking
You do not need to register an account, provide an email address, or create a password to use BuiltByVibe.
When you "like" or bookmark an application, that preference is stored entirely on your device via standard browser localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not sold, transferred, or shared.
Votes, Submissions & Rate Limiting
To prevent automated bot vote inflation and spam, our platform records cryptographic hashes of incoming IP subnets alongside timestamps when an upvote or submission occurs.
These IP identifiers are hashed using a one-way salt, strictly preventing anyone (including us) from reversing the hashes into identifiable personal IP addresses. We retain these hashed signatures only as long as necessary to enforce anti-fraud rate limits.
Cloudflare Turnstile & Bot Defense
We use Cloudflare Turnstile on interactive endpoints (such as the AI Readiness Checker) to verify that visitors and API requests are genuine humans and not malicious automated scripts or scrapers.
Cloudflare Turnstile analyzes visitor data, including HTTP headers, browser environment markers, and challenge interaction telemetry. Turnstile is designed to be privacy-preserving: it does not use cross-site tracking cookies, does not collect personal identifiers, and does not sell or monetize visitor behavioral data.

AI Readiness Checker & Outbound Audits
When you enter a public domain into our AI Readiness Checker tool, our servers execute a secure, read-only HTTP request to inspect publicly available files (/llms.txt, robots.txt, OpenGraph tags, and Schema.org metadata).
We do not store or persist user credentials, private network data, or confidential codebases. Results are held in temporary memory cache (up to 5 minutes) solely to improve response speeds and reduce redundant network requests.
Infrastructure & Anonymous Analytics
BuiltByVibe is deployed globally on the Cloudflare Workers edge network with Cloudflare D1 serverless SQL storage.
We utilize privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics to measure page views and category traffic. We do not engage in third-party behavioral ad tracking or sell user data to data brokers.
