Description
Resume Gallery is an Android photo gallery built around one idea: you should always be able to pick up exactly where you left off.
You organize browsing into named sessions — one for animals, one for weddings, one for a huge archive split into folders like 0-5000 and 5001-10000. Each session has its own set of folders (chosen with Android's native folder picker) and remembers its own last-seen photo. Browse one session deep into a folder of thousands, switch to another session, come back later and you land on the exact photo you left. It also advances to the next folder when you finish one, sorts filenames naturally (1, 2, 10 — not 1, 10, 2), searches folders and photos, has an auto-swipe slideshow, and works fully offline: no account, no ads, no trackers, no internet permission.
How it was vibe coded: I never wrote a line of code. I described what I wanted to Muse (Muse Spark) in plain language — my actual requirements were sentences like "it must remember the last visited image even if Android kills the app" — then tested every build on my phone and corrected it in conversation, sometimes bluntly. The sessions feature came straight out of an example I gave it (an animals session, a weddings session).
Challenges overcome: the first build took ~10 seconds to open an image on my phone, fixed with per-folder media queries and thumbnail caching; Android's folder-access rules forced a redesign around the system folder picker instead of a homemade selection screen; and I caught a bug where the sessions dialog showed a stale list after creating a new session — fixed the same day.
