Mansplainer

Mansplainer is an AI-powered translator for explanations that have gotten completely out of hand.

Paste in confusing, bloated, jargon-heavy, overly technical, or unnecessarily complicated text and Mansplainer rewrites it at the level you actually want.

Need a normal explanation? Done.

Need it simpler? Keep going.

Need CAVEMAN mode? Mansplainer can do that too.

The application supports multiple AI models, including free-model routing, and provides a deliberately simple interface for turning difficult text into something immediately understandable. The goal wasn't to build another chatbot. It was to make one very specific interaction fast, useful, and a little ridiculous.

But Mansplainer is also an experiment.

Because I didn't really build Mansplainer.

I gave the idea to HACKASS.

HACKASS is an autonomous software-building system I'm developing to move beyond the normal AI coding workflow of prompt → code suggestion → human copies code → human runs it → human finds the error → human tells the AI → repeat.

Instead, HACKASS takes an idea and treats software development as an execution problem.

For Mansplainer, it interpreted the request, planned the application, created the implementation, worked through the build, handled problems it encountered, tested the result, and produced a deployable application with minimal intervention from me.

That distinction matters.

AI-assisted development is already everywhere. What I'm interested in is how much of the development loop can happen without a human sitting between the model and the machine babysitting every step.

Mansplainer deliberately isn't a giant application. That's part of the experiment. It gave me a contained way to test whether the autonomous build loop could take a small, slightly absurd product idea and turn it into working software.

It did.

So Mansplainer is the app I'm submitting.

But Mansplainer is also evidence.

The more interesting thing is the system that built it.

One idea. One prompt. One working app.

Zero babysitting.
